EPI certifications generally have a three-year validity period, while CTDC®, CTIA®, CTLA®, CDLI® and CDLA® follow their stated standard versions. Begin recertification early to avoid missing the applicable deadline.

CDCP® Recertification
CDCP® holders may either recertify using the CDCP® Recertification Package or progress to CDCS® by attending the CDCS® course through TOD, ILT or VILT.
CDCS® Recertification
CDCS® holders may either recertify using the CDCS® Recertification Package or progress to CDCE® by attending the CDCE® course through ILT or VILT.
Important Note
Recertification packages are intended for individuals with an existing certification that is approaching expiry.
If your certification has expired, contact DCAA to check whether you are within the six-month grace period or should consider Back-On-Track.

What is the validity of an EPI certification?
DCFC®, CDCP®, CDCS®, CDCE®, CNCDP®, CDFOS®, CDFOM®, CDESS®, CDRP® and CDMS® are valid for three years. CTDC®, CTIA®, CTLA®, CDLI® and CDLA® are issued for their stated standard versions and do not expire on the three-year cycle. EPI recommends updating to the latest version when the standard changes.
What if my certificate has expired?
A six-month grace period is available to complete recertification after expiry. If your certificate expired more than six months ago, the standard renewal route no longer applies. Back-On-Track provides an applicable route towards an active certificate. Contact DCAA about your circumstances.
How do I take the examination(s)?
You can schedule and take the examinations online from home or your office. EPI examinations are delivered through EXIN.
How do I access the e-book(s)?
Download instructions are emailed to you. EPI’s secured e-books can be opened on two devices only.
Can I print the e-book(s)?
The digital e-book is printable after download on a PC or Mac, but cannot be printed from a mobile device.
